Pastel Knits and Vertical Stripes

Okay, I know it's the Summer and you're wondering why I'm wearing knitwear but with the weather being so horrendous lately, I've had no other choice but to dig out my comfiest knits to keep me warm. In fact, my mum knitted this for me quite a while ago and I still can't fit into it properly haha. So glad that I like oversized garments. I've started to really love anything that slightly clashes: whether it's prints, colours or textures. So I felt that I achieved this through teaming knitwear with a pretty, Summery skirt.
I have some great news for you. I'm going to be doing my first ever give away and I'm very very excited. So stay tuned to find out how you can enter :)
Hope you're having a lovely week. :)

Navy and Cream

Hey everyone, hope you're well. Just a quick outfit post today as I'm busy packing away my uni stuff from Birmingham to take home to Maesteg, only to pack them up again to move to a new house in Cardiff. Phew!
I picked up this navy pinafore from Miss Selfridge sale and I haven't taken it off since. It's just so cute. I love the nostalgia of evoking my childhood, so I decided to team up the pinafore with a sweet cream shirt and finished it off with a pretty turtle brooch.
Hope your exams are going well :)

Grey and Neon

Hey everyone, how have you been? :) Hope you've had a lovely weekend. I've just got back from a surprise birthday party for my friends 21st, it was so lovely to be reunited with her and everyone else here. Of course, the sun was shining so everyone had a great time celebrating her day with her. Thought I'd do a quick outfit post. I love this dress/tunic so much, it's so simple and yet still chic. It's perfect for days when I'm not quite sure what to wear and it works well for any occasion when it's teamed up with the right accessory. I love this neon necklace I got from H&M about a month or so ago. Just like everyone else I'm loving a nice pop of neon on any outfit as it really completes the whole look. It perfectly adds a lush pop of colour to the whole outfit which is always refreshing.
Tomorrow I'm going back to Birmingham for a week or so to attend my degree show as well as celebrate my friends 20th. Summer is always busy for me as I have so so many birthdays haha, goodbye money haha. What have you guys got planned for the upcoming week? Good luck to everyone who's got exams.

The Big Move

This Summer, not only will I be making the transition from being a student to an unemployed graduate, I will also be moving to Cardiff from the Bridgend area. This means that I have to start packing and it has made me realise just how much of my clothes, footwear and accessories need to be shifted. So I've set up an account on Asos Marketplace in order to make some money from my unwanted stuff. I promise to add more to it in the next week or so but I hope you can have a little browse on there for me. Click here to get to my page.
Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine :)

Spectrum

The most beautifully intricate embroidery that I've ever come across. I fell in love.

Such an amazing combination of clashing prints. The colours are absolutely delicious too. I loved the Tribal and aztec theme.

Loved the Navajo inspiration.
Such a refreshing colour palette; very crisp and citrus.

The photos don't do this amazing work any justice. The fragility and delicacy was unbelievably beautiful.

Again, the clash of prints and colour palettes are so delicious.

'Spectrum' was the name for the exhibition that showcased the amazing work done by third year Surface Pattern students from Swansea Metropolitan University. I had the great privilege of viewing their beautiful creations and I hope that they inspire you as much as they inspired me. Each work showed so much depth and individuality that I wish that I could produce myself. It made me miss being creative and has inspired me to start doing some freelance work on the side during the Summer.

I hope you've been enjoying the sunshine and best of luck to everyone who's got exams ahead.

Mint

Hello everyone :) Hope you've been enjoying the lovely sunshine. It's such an amazing feeling to able to wake up with the sun shining against your skin- ah bliss!
Colour blocking has always been a look that I enjoy experimenting with, especially if it means that you mix and match colours from different ends of the pantone palette. In this case, I teamed up a minty pastel jumper with a neon pink skirt (it doesn't look very neony in the first picture). My favourite part of the outfit is my £1  bag that I purchased from a charity shop. I love that it's Navajo inspired as I think that it's a nice touch to add to any outfit. What do you guys think? :)
Hope you've all had a great weekend and best of luck for the week ahead if you've got exams.
