Burnt Ember

Shirt- French Connection// Skirt- Boohoo// Shoes- Primark

Ahh Autumn, you have arrived! What used to excite me the most as a child was going to the park after school and stomping on the crunchy, brown leaves. I'd be two weeks into the next academic year in school and the only thing I'd be scared about would be whether or not I'd have to sit in the naughty chair. Oh how sweet life was back then.
I'll admit that the gorgeous burnt, ember tones that we see in our natural surroundings is what makes me love the most about Autumn. I think it's safe to say that it's my favourite season. These tones have been incorporated into my outfit today. Just like everyone else, I'm loving the tartan trend so how could I add this into my outfit somehow?

Just in case you missed my last post here's the link. Feel free to have a mooch on my Stylight page and comment down below with your user name if you have an account. I'm so new to the site and I'd love to give you a follow. Thank you :) Hope you're having a great start to the week.

Stylight

Hey guys, today's post is a little different. I'm sure that most of you have heard of Stylight and may even have made an account. Just in case you don't, here's a little introduction to them and what they're all about:

  • Stylight are Europe’s fastest-growing fashion community and they have recently launched their site in the UK.
  • You can visit their website here or download their app on your mobile (Stylight).
  • Their site acts as a great source of inspiration as you can view outfits from impeccably well dressed human beings from all over the world.
  • The best part- "If you find a product you really want, you can easily buy it from one of the shops featured on STYLIGHT."
  • Similar to Instagram, you can use the 'heart' button to show which looks you love. These looks then show up on your personal Stylight profile. Clever eh? Go on, have a little look.
  • You can have a look at my account, but I must warn you that there is a tumble weed going through it haha. I'm so new to it so you'll have to bear with me. If you fancy making an account, you can do so by signing up here.
  •  You can also give their TV Spot a little watch ..
  • Here are some of the beautiful ladies that I'm following so far.. Dearest Deer, She Wears Fashion, The Little Magpie.

Thanks for reading guys. If you do sign up or already have an account then let me know your usernames so I can follow you :) Hope you're having a lovely week. It's Friday tomorrow, yes!

Rose Pink

Top- Oh My Love// Trousers- Next// Jelly Sandals- Asos// Earrings- Everours

Ah soft, pastel pink! I felt like my 6 year old self when I ordered this adorably pretty rose mesh piece from Oh My Love. I've wanted this rose 3D mesh top for so long but just couldn't afford the AmericanApparel one so I'm very grateful that I grabbed this bargain for only a tenner. Cheers OML!

For some reason, I didn't wear it as much as I thought I would over the Summer, but as pink is the most dominant colour for this season I thought I'd give this top extra love.

I'm still the biggest fan of anything high waisted as they actually make me feel like I have long legs haha.

How's your week going? :)

Glittery Knits

Top- Forever 21// Necklace- Gift from Jay// Pants- Topshop// Brogues- Primark// Lipstick- Sally Hansen in Cherry Wine

Hey guys, how have you been? Sorry I haven't posted any outfits on here lately, I'm currently doing a course with Marks & Spencer via The Prince's Trust so I'm a little busy. I didn't want to let you down so I thought I'd share with you what I wore today. Say hello to my lovely glittery knit, I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot more of her during Winter. There's nothing that I love more than pretty, glittery knitwear during the Festive Season so I thought I'd start early. Like everyone else, I fell head over heels in love with the Zimmermann Spring/Summer 2014 collection: long live metallics! I'm seriously so excited to incorporate more metallic pieces into my daily outfits. It just feels right during the chillier climate.

Hope you're having a good start to the week.

Covering Up

Leather Jacket & Shirt- Forever 21// Jumpsuit- Topshop via eBay// Necklace & Brogues- Primark// Bag- Next//

As we head into mid September, the temperature has undoubtedly gone a lot colder. I snapped up this lovely little jumpsuit from eBay for just £1. Score! It managed to keep my little limbs warm as I did some food shopping earlier. I can't wait to start layering it with more shirts and jumpers, layering has got to be one of my favourite things about the chillier weather.

Hope you're having a lovely week so far. If you've started new jobs/uni/school, comment below and let me know how it's going. I'd love to know :)

Autumn Wishlist #2

Horsing Around Sweatshirt- J.Crew// Checkered Trousers- Zara// Melina Cut Out Boots- Jeffrey Campbell// Stingray Trifold Bag- Alexander Wang// Ring Set- Just Acces.

Pullover- Cichic.com// Peter Pan Checkered Dress- Zara// Wool Cape- Zara// NARS Nail Polish in Galathee// Elephant Bangle- Simplysoles.com// MAC Lipstick in 'Indulge'// Cut Out Boots- Zara// Silver Boots- Zara

A little bleaker colour palette theme today in contrast to yesterday's sugary, pretty Wishlist. It's always refreshing to show some of the contrasts that creep up in the trends that we love. As I've mentioned, I used to dress head to toe in black, literally. Some of the gorgeous pieces that I've picked out here are reminiscent of some of the clothes that I wore during my GCSE days (especially the checkered Zara dress- just imagine that all black). I guess those were the days where I was channelling my inner Wednesday Addams, come on, what girl hasn't?

Out of the items that I have compiled, I especially love the Alexander Wang bag (it belongs to me in my dreams, okay?), the Wool cape from Zara and the beige pullover from Cichic. It just looks so snug and warm. What I'd give to be snuggled up in it whilst 'Breaking Bad' is on and I'm demolishing my third cup of hot chocolate. Swoon!

I hope you're all having a lovely week so far. Comment below and let me know how your job/uni/school life is going. I'd love to know :)

Autumn Wishlist

Dusky Pink Jumper- Boohoo- £25// Pink Midi Kilt- Topshop- £61// Brown Triple Buckle Cut Out Boots- New Look- £25// Bowler Bag- Topshop- £44// Sheer Lipstick in Lolly- Topshop- £10// Blue Eyelash Knit Jumper- River Island- £35

Hey guys! Hope you're well. Just a quick post today. Made this mini Wishlist on my Polyvore just to show you (and make myself depressed) the lovely different items that I'm currently lusting after but can't afford. Shame!

It's pretty obvious that dusky pink will be the most dominant colour trend for A/W 13 (thanks Unique!)

Let me know which ones you like and if you have any similar items on your wishlists! :)

Have a lovely evening!!

Pink and Black

Crop top- Primark £3.00 // Skirt- Mum's// Socks- Primark £1.50// Shoes- Boohoo £18// Necklace- Gift

I found this interesting little quote on instagram by Yohji Yamamoto: 'Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy- but mysterious.' This pretty much summed up why I used to dress head to toe in black. Maybe it was because I was quite a shy teenager growing up in a small little town in South Wales. Wearing all black was sort of a saviour for me; it allowed me to feel like I blended in in a place where I felt like I stood out like a sore thumb. This might be hard to believe as my past outfit posts have all been bright, colourful and clashing printed garments that have been finished off with on trend statement accessories. As I left school and went away for university, I enjoyed and appreciated fashion even more. I've enjoyed exploring different trends and styles that captivate me and allow me to express my emotions.

Anyway, apologies for that. I don't usually share such personal and thoughtful things on here haha. So on to this outfit. This lovely little baggy crop top was a perfect steal from Primark at just £3. You know I love a good bargain! I decided to team it with this gorgeous pink and black plaid skirt which belongs to my mum. I am so happy that plaids and tartan are in for A/W. Such a patriotic and lovely look that you can have some fun dressing up and down with. As it's getting a little chillier I decided to wear my frilly socks (also from Primark for £1.50- hey bargain #2)! You know this outfit wouldn't be complete without a statement piece of accessory.

Thank you to my lovely boyfriend for taking these pictures :)

Hope you're having a lovely evening.

All Seeing Eye

Dress- H&M// Necklace- Miss Selfridge// Jelly Sandals- ASOS

As I've previously mentioned here, I have so much love for the use of eye motifs in clothing at the moment. Thanks, Kenzo! I had actually forgotten about this creepy little necklace that I got from the sales last year. If you've been reading my blog then you'll know that I'm all about statement accessories, but I just love this little number.
Today has been dramatically colder than yesterday. I'm actually sat here hugging two hot water bottles and chugging down a generously large mug of green tea with honey. Too cold and to think that it's going to get colder. *Shudders.* Speaking of which, I seriously need to start digging out my A/W gear in preparation to battle those freezing, bleak Winter days. It's quite hard to believe that Winter is my favourite season after that mini rant. (Just ignore it).

Hope you've had a lovely weekend. Best of luck for this week in whatever you'll be doing :)

The Two Piece

Two Piece- Signature by Primark via eBay// Crop Shirt- Select// Shoes- Primark// Earrings- Everours

How gutting, I managed to find this gorgeous two piece from ebay after spending the whole Summer looking for one. Typical! Haha. Thankfully, it's still quite warm and the rain today hasn't been too temperamental so I can still get away with wearing this. What draws me to the two pieces the most is how it looks so effortless and yet you still manage to look like you've put some thought into what you're wearing. Just the right amount of effort and chic without looking like you've tried too hard. These gorgeous earrings are from Everours and I managed to snap them up for only 50p. Oh, hello bargain.
I'm currently trying to invest in a two piece that mainly consists of high waisted trousers and a crop top. Here's to hoping that I find a perfect one before Christmas. *Fingers crossed.*

Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

Longleat

Following on from yesterday's post, I thought I'd show you some of the pictures that I'd taken in Longleat Safari Park yesterday. I went there with Jay, Nam and Cari and we all had the best time. Thankfully, the weather was glorious as predicted and we were able to enjoy the park to it's full. If you want to pay a little visit then here's the official site. We're predicted to have more beautiful weather so make the most of it and go to Longleat and feed the deers and sea lions :) The bus and ship tours are a must as well.I'd highly recommend them.
Hope you've had a lovely week so far.

Elephant

Dress- Primark// Sandals- New Look// Bag- Charity Shop

I spent the day in Longleat Safari Park with my boyfriend and my lovely friends Cari and Nam. Double date ahoy! We all felt like big kids there, we had so much fun walking around and exploring the different species of animals that were kept there. If you've ever been or are thinking of going then I'd highly recommend the bus and boat tours but more of that to come on my next post :)
Again, the weather today was absolutely boiling. I'm glad I opted for this grey Primark dress in favour of my first choice of jeans and a baggy jumper (crazy, I know). I bought this dress during my second year in Uni and love it's versatility and simplicity- the colour, cut, length etc the list goes on and on.

Hope you've had a lovely day :)
