Complimentary Colours

Jacket- Lexxury// Jumper and Socks- Primark// Shirt and Boots- eBay// Trousers- River Island// Collar Chain- Gift

Having studied Textiles in University and other aspects of Art & Design since secondary school, I was always always taught about the importance of knowing the colour wheel and understanding which pantone shades compliment each other. Now, I don't usually spend THAT much time and concentrate too much on colour when I get dressed in the mornings, however I couldn't help but feel that I was a little too colourful when I chucked on this orange jacket on top of this royal blue jumper. Then I remembered what Ms James taught me about how gorgeous blue and orange look together during Art lessons in school and I didn't feel too bad leaving the house. Phew!

Hope you've had a good week. HAPPY FRIDAY.

Floral Cream

Jacket- H&M// Shirt and Boots-eBay// Dress- Forever 21// Bag- Charity Shop

Hey guys! First and foremost, sorry about my lack of posts lately. I've been feeling super ill and had to take a few days off from work last week. There are definitely horrible little bugs going around town.

Although I love the colour black, I do love the occasional pretty, colourful floral number now and again. I remember picking up this pretty dress from Forever 21 in Birmingham when I still a student. It doesn't have much shape or structure to it but that makes you feel dressed down which I like. I pinched this cream jacket from my sisters wardrobe when she was having breakfast and then I made her take these pictures on her new camera. I rule!

Hope you're having a good week so far. I'm off to a Coen Brothers Exhibition in Shoreditch tomorrow after work so I'm super excited for that. Let me know what your plans are.

Silver

Cardigan- F&F// Shirt- H&M// Trousers- Primark// Shoes- Topshop// Collar Chain- Regal Rose

I've always been a fan of anything metallic. whether it be on nails, items of clothing or especially on shoes. In October, I went to see Local Natives in Bristol and noticed that vocalist and guitarist Ryan Hahn wearing the most beautiful silver, metallic DMs. This made me want to purchase one of my very own so I was over the moon when I saw this cheeky little number in the Topshop sale for just £15 (further £1.50 off thanks to my brothers NUS, yay!). They are the most comfortable shoes I own right now and yes, they really do go with eveything.
Today, I decided to pair them with my most trusted pair of high waisted trousers and denim shirt to challenge a subtle masculine look. I love my knitwear so this beautiful cardigan that my Jay's brother and girlfriend gifted me for Christmas is a new favourite of mine.
Hope you had a lovely week. What are your plans for the weekend?

Urban Knit

Jumper and Shoes- Urban Outfitters// Jeans- GAP//  Bag- Charity Shop// Jacket- Market Stall

My thoughtful younger brother gifted me this gorgeous, snuggly jumper for Christmas and I genuinely find it hard to part with it. I love the subtle ember tones as it creates such a gorgeous palette which compliments anything that I pair it with. Today, I went for a more casual look and teamed the knitwear up with my most trusted pair of Gap jeans and faux fur jacket that I picked up from a market stall in Birmingham a few years ago. Plus, the jumper is a size Large which means that I can never feel too bad after over indulging in my most favourite treats. Bliss!

Hope you've had a lovely weekend. I started back on my internship today and I can already tell that it's going to be a crazy week. What are your plans? Have schools and unis started?

How I love cold, crisp Winter mornings. I'm not sure whether it's just me, but I've surprisingly found our Winter so far bearable and haven't had to pile on the layers as much as other years. Surely I can't be alone on this?
I don't know whether it comes with getting a little older but I've found that bright colours and bold patterned clothes don't grab my attention as much as they used to. I'm forever longing for that classic, black staple piece of anything or a simple, plain white number. Again, I can't be alone on this one.
Anyway, happy new year. Hope 2014 brings you health, wealth and happiness.
