Dungs

Dungarees- Miss Selfridge// Shirt- Forever 21// Blazer- H&M// Bag- Next// Brogues- Primark// Necklace- Shop Dixi

Officially kicking off Spring with my dungarees. I've had them for over 3 years and can never actually part from them whenever I try to list them on eBay. There's just something about owning a classic, denim dungarees that somehow makes my life complete. Similarly to my last post, I just can't get enough of pairing anything denim with anything white, there's just something so fresh and happy about those two formulas. Are there two types of colours or trends that you always team together to achieve that effortless look as well?

Also, I picked up this gorgeous little horse shoe necklace for just £1 in the Shop Dixi sale and I can't take it off. It's so delicate and simple, yet it just compliments everything that I wear and gives it that finishing touch nicely. This time last year I was all about the statement necklaces (you know the ones I'm talking about) but now, I can't ever imagine wearing a necklace that hasn't got a simple, sweet pendant. How times have changed, eh?

Hope you've had a fantastic weekend.

Pinny

Pinny, Shoes & Necklace- Primark// Shirt- Select

Anything denim paired with anything white is my most favourite formula for Spring/Summer. There's just something so classic and laid back about the two together. I wore my most trusted gold statement necklace from Primark to compliment the buttons on the sides of the pinny, which I think really finishes off the outfit nicely.

Peep

Shirt- Charity Shop// Trousers- Uniqlo// Shoes- River Island// Rings- H&M

I was awoken by the sun peeping through my blinds which instantly made me happy and made me want to wear these peep toe lace ups from River Island. I'm so excited to be packing away my boots and welcoming my peep toes and sandals back into my life. Hooray.
This white shirt was just sitting beautifully in the charity shop near my house and I just knew that I couldn't leave the shop without this stuffed inside my bag. It has a slight pussy bow detail but I prefer it untied for some reason.

Fringe

Fringed Jacket- Boohoo// Top- Zara// Jeans- River Island// Bag- Next// Boots- eBay

Instant love at first sight when I saw this beautiful fringed jacket in the boohoo sale for just £8. Yes, £8. I woke up with the sunshine on my face and we've been blessed with the beautiful blue sky all day and yet, I insisted on wearing head to toe black. Don't ask. I have this beautiful, lacey cream dress from H&M that I've had for a while and I can't wait to pair it with this jacket when the weather is the most glorious. Sun, please don't leave.

Hope you've had a fabulous weekend.

Pop of Red

Jacket and Skirt- Primark// Top- New Look// Shoes- Topshop// Lego Necklace- Gift from Jay

For once, I didn't wear an all black and white ensemble on Friday when Jay and I went for a quick mooch down Caerphilly castle. I've always enjoyed a pop of colour in an outfit, usually in accessories, but I just loved how the bold red skirt becomes the focal point on this attire. It gives the illusion of a nautical twist as it's paired with the striped top as well.
Although the weather was pleasant enough, it was incredibly foggy when we were walking around,  so I was thankful that I decided to chuck on my £5 Primark jacket at the very last minute to keep my little limbs warm. Needless to say that the sun decided to poke it's pretty face out as we got in the car and headed back for Cardiff. Typical.

Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

Maylash*

Hi guys, hope you're enjoying the weekend and sunshine -yay! Today's post is a little different and it comes in the form of  this tiny little bottle. If you've been reading my blog for a while then you'll know that I'm forever trying to find different mascaras that will miraculously elongate my extremely short eyelashes. So you can imagine how excited I got when the lovely Olivia over at Maylash got in contact and asked if I wanted to try the Maylash eyelash serum.

I've only been using the product for five nights and they advise at least a month in order to see the changes so I'll be writing a review once the month is up. Here's a little snap of how my lashes looked before I tried the serum.

To apply, I remove all of my make up first and basically use the handy application brush to coat a thin layer of the serum on the top of my eye lids. It's that simple. I'm excited to keep using this product to (hopefully) see the changes soon.

The code ruth30 will enable you, my lovely readers, to get a very generous 30% off the serum. So instead of paying £49 you pay £34.20, but the discount expires on the 20th of March (Thursday) so make sure you don't miss out.

Have you ever used Maylash before? What did you think? Be sure to let me know :)

Polka

Shirt- Handmade// Shorts and Earrings- Primark// Shoes- Urban Outfitters

Of all the clothes/accessories that I've made in the past, I am the most proud of this cropped shirt. I think like everyone else, I have completely and utterly fallen in love with two pieces for Spring/Summer. So when I found these shorts in Primark, I knew exactly what they'd go well with. Polka Dot madness, indeed. I'm currently making two pieces and would love some feedback from you guys when I set up my online shop. I'll be posting pictures of my designs on my instagram (@kimkimipie). Anyone interested?

Cat Eyes

Note to self: need to start ironing my clothes. Oops
 Meet Doug!
I lost that beautiful spiral ring down the woods. I was devastated. My heart is still breaking over it as I type this :(
Meet Betty the French Schipperke
 Gazing up to God.
Last but certainly not least, Jack the Jack Russel.

Cat Jumper- ASOS// Skirt and Chain Rings- H&M// Boots- eBay// Faux Fur Jacket- Market in Birmingham//
Nail Polish- And Other Stories

How genius is this jumper? Elbow patches that come in the form of cats; bravo, ASOS, bravo indeed. I instantly fell in love with it when I saw Amy from The Little Magpie tweet about it. Little did I know that my ever so thoughtful boyfriend had noticed it on my instagram and had ordered it for me as an anniversary gift (which was last month). Chuffed is an understatement to describe how I felt when he handed it over to me. The fit is perfect and it's thickness is just about right for Spring which is a bonus. I paired it up with my most beloved Kenzo inspired skirt from H&M. The pairing of the short skater design and the long sleeves on the jumper allows me to play with different proportions, which I think is perfect for Spring as, let's be honest, it's still a little chilly out.

Speaking of which, on Friday we were blessed to have the most beautiful weather that we've seen so far this year, so Jay and I decided to take his dogs Jack, Doug and Betty for a walk down the woods (that lovely little Husky only came over to say hello and pose for a picture, cheeky). You might have noticed that I'm wearing my ankle boots but don't worry, I didn't actually go for a walk wearing those bad boys. I knew it was going to be super muddy down there so I was sensible and borrowed Jay's mums trainers. Trust me, the boots came straight back off as soon as Jay took the last photo.

I love nature and appreciate it's beauty and tranquillity so a day like Friday was just perfect for me. I'm just awaiting for the Summer to finally arrive where I can spend my days out in the sunshine exploring hidden gems around Swansea and Cardiff with Jay (and dogs).

Hope you're having a lovely weekend. What have you been up to?
